IMHO, the entire ASUS motherboard line should be like this board. 8 channels to memory. 7 full speed PCIe gen 5 slots. 4 M.2 NVMe slots with cooling fan.
Support for additional PCIe power and support for 2 PSUs if needed. Built-in 10G Ethernet port. Plenty of fan headers. When working with multiple GPUs, video capture cards, audio devices the entire system flow is very low latency.
Two issues I had with the board: 1. The boot Q-LED 00 and yellow light (DRAM) issue are misleading … took me a while to figure out why the board wouldn’t boot. The current BIOS/EFI didn’t recognize my AMD 9975X CPU and required a FlashBios port updated before it would recognize my CPU. 2. The plastic cover over the ports around the backplate area prevents/blocks the use of PCIe 5 slot 1. Fortunately the plastic shroud can be remove without any issues and allow the use of slot 1. 3. Not enough USB-C slot (just 2).
If low latency and overall system thru-put is important to your workflow (even gaming), then this board is a MUST. I only have 256GB install in 4 slots but they work at their rated speed 6400Mts without any issues.
