5 hours in the sun and not even 1% charged

I have several issues with this keyboard.
1. it the keyboard keys are a fingerprint magnet. Even after 1 hour of use there is unsightly marks left by fingers (kind of unavoidable since it is a keyboard)
2. there is no software to manage they keyboard (I looked on the targus website and could not find anything). Consequently you can't remap keys, or check battery charge level easily.
3. slow as molasses charging. I left it in direct sunlight to test the charging rate... not even 1% charged after 5 hours. (this is with the backlit keys being turned off). Maybe I got a defective unit, but I cannot see how this thing can be kept charged with the backlight being used.
Overall I would not purchase this keyboard again
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To clarify, the keyboard draws power from the host device and the solar panel helps maintain charge. It can charge on its own via solar, but this process can take a long time, so using a USB-C connection is recommended for faster charging.
