I love the size and the shape of this light. It is attractive. It has been a tremdous help for my SADD and I like the radio and clock feature. I have recommened this light to everyone I know. Come October it will be used every single day to wake me up.
I found these easy to set up also.
Pros: size and shape

I like the product but if there is any light in the room you can't really tell the difference of the Wake-up Light. Also there is no back up battery so if the power goes out you are in big trouble

I can't say that I wake up refreshed...but I do wake up gradually. All in all, this does what I need it to do and I'm happy that I bought it. Just a couple of design/usability criticisms.
First, it doesn't seem to have an ambient light sensor, so you're stuck with manually choosing a clock intensity that's either too bright for nighttime or too dim for daytime.
Next, the tactile feedback on some of the buttons is insufficient (for non-readers of braille, at least). The button that turns on/off the light is particularly bad, since it's flanked by intensity up/down buttons. So if you want to turn the light on/off, you need to find the 3 button cluster and then "jump" your finger to the middle of the cluster. I solved this by super gluing a short LEGO to the button! (I took a photo but I can't see how to post it with this review.) Problem solved.
Pros: cuckoo bird sound is annoying enough to wake me up
Cons: insufficient tactile feedback, needs an ambient light sensor

Used for less than a week. The radio option felt weird.

I bought the Philips Wake-up Light to replace another sunrise simulator alarm that didn't have a built in radio. I was using a separate clock radio so that I could listen to the morning weather report when I woke up. The Philips Wake-up light replaced the 2 alarms freeing up space on my night stand. The adjustable light intensity setting allows me to adjust how quickly I wake up. This feature achieve the same result of the adjustable wake-up time of other brands. I also like the adjustable brightness of the clock and digital radio tuner. With fall coming, this alarm really helps me to wake up more pleasantly.
Pros: adjustable brightness for speed of wake-up, adjustable brightness of clock, easy to use
Cons: slightly larger than anticipated 10" tall

I like the function of the wake-up light and we use the birds to wake us up. When it works, it is great. This is the third light we are on in 2 years.
The controls on this light are unusual for applicances of today. They work, but it takes effort to get the result one is looking for.
I would recommend this to a friend!
