know about Filtrete before going to the grave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 68 yrs. old. I moved into my first apartment at the tender age of 26yrs.. old. My uncle Jake who always used the best for his tavern always used Filtrete filters for his furnace.. Even thou the apartment manager used some cheap flimsy filters, I didn't want to bring a women to a dusty apartment. I also didn't want to breath in bacteria, pollen, or any hazardous molds.. Pittsburgh with some big mills still working and all of that mill ( who knows ) stuff coming out of the smoke stacks. Whenever the manager changed the filters he was shocked, he removed a filter that was in one piece, covered in dust, and an apartment that seemed much cleaner than the others.He asked what my secret was, I said just that's not what you put in. To this day ,he went to his grave not looking to see what brand of filter I was using

High quality filter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Filtrete filters for years. I haven't found another filter that compares to it. Other filters that I have tried in the past had flimsy frames that were difficult to get in and out of the filter slot, but most importantly they didn't capture nearly the amount of dust and lint that a Filtrete filter does.

Easy To Install and Makes My Lungs Smile

I’m always amazed at the “crud”, so to speak, in the filter when I change it. Filtrete, you’ve got a lifetime customer I need me. Thank you!!!

I've used these for many years, and while I do see that the filter has captured quite a lot by 3 months, I still smell the downstairs tenant's smoke. Also, and *much* more importantly, I am truly weary of the poor fit of these filters. I have to bend and crush the 14" width to get it in. The 25" length seems too long, and the 24" too short by *more* than an inch! I'm concerned that the gap with the 24" will allow unfiltered air in to ruin the unit. Should I worry about one inch? In any event, these filters should not require twisting and bending to install.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
