Filtrete filters are an alternative to HEPA

While HEPA and other types of filters can be used to remove allergens and fine particles, they are expensive to install and maintain. Extra-fine filters like filtrete simply fit into the regular filter slot and do a good job of purifying the air.

Great overall product that does a fantastic job of cleaning the air in my house while not restricting the flow through my HVAC system. Convenient 90 day replacement schedule means less changing of the filters. Highly recommended.

I buy 2 of these at a time for my home. They work great to filter out the animal fur/dander and other dust and allergens. I stick with the 600 level so as not to create too much drag on my air conditioner and I just change them frequently. I always buy Filtrete because I know they will work!

Excellent Product and Well worth the Price

I've been using this particular product for years and although it isn't as powerful as the 1000 model, this one seems to be sufficient for even those of us with sensitivity to pollens or pet dust .. For new 3M customers, I'd suggest starting with this model and then move up to higher models only if need be.
