Skip the generics.

After many trials of different brands / different particule size - this product is exactly what I need - I have 2 AC units / 3 intake filters.

An economy Filter at best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 600 won’t remove half of what the 1,000 micron unit will and nowhere near a third of what the 1,900 micron filter will do. Your only choice here is to keep the house as clean as possible to reduce the load on the filter system itself (The cleaner the house.. shoes off in the mud room, dogs and cats brushed outside etc..) youll give this economy filter a fighting chance. It’s defiantly a filter you’ll have to change more often to keep the particulate mater being circulated down, but at $15 it’s an affordable unit that won’t break the bank every year just on filters as you certainly will if you were to swap out the 1,900 micron filter every two to three months. Regardless, if you keep the ductwork clean and keep a cleaner household, this economy filter can get the job done, and once a year you can splurge on the 1,900 micron during allergy season.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great filters.
only complaint is that they are a hair to big for the mobile home furnaces.
Also use cheap fiberglass filters in front of 3m filters so not to plug them up with the bigger particles and make them last longer.

Good price, does the job!

We always buy this brand of air filter and generally always buy the least expensive one, which happens to be the "good" filter. I noticed a difference the first time we changed it out after moving into our house. The people that lived there before were using something else. With a very furry dog and cat I thought we would have to change out the filter more often but the recommended amount works out perfectly and our furnace is running better and more consistently than before. Plus my husband has allergies so we have to keep the house closed up and it makes such a difference. Once he is in the house in peak allergy season, he is fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Filtrete 1" Filter

Very pleased with Filtrete brand. Best house hold filter I have ever used. Holds up beautifully even in the summer use of the AC running full time.
