This was supposed to be an identical replacement. It isn't. The alignment guide change has made me jerry rig it so I can punch my 8.5 in covers. before I could just adjust the knob and it would be set for almost 90% of the jobs I process. A4 option gone. You also took away the rightmost hole punches, therefore anything longer than 11.5 can't be punched.
We recently purchased this product to replace an out of date manual one. This one does allow the ease of not tearing your arm up to punch the holes.
Pros: ease of use, Speed
Cons: Binding Capacity
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Pleasantly Surprised

Our previous binding machine was from a different manufacturer. It always worked, but when it broke, I shopped around for its replacement.
We found the Galaxy E500 and it looked sturdy enough to handle the kind of use our office would give it. It has far exceeded our expectations. On a comparable product, many of the parts were plastic. This machine is attractive, is easier to use than the "other" machine we had, looks nice and has the ability to remove the binding unit for efficiency to bind and punch at the same time.
We couldn't be happier!
Pros: ease of use, Quality Construction, Warranty, Punch Capacity, Document / Comb Measurement Guide, Safety Features, Binding Capacity, Speed, Alignment Guide, can bind and punch at the same time

Great, Durable, and Easy to Use

I received the Galaxy-E and was able to set it up and start using it within minutes. From card stock to stacks of 28lb. paper, this machine is a beast. It cut so much time in production compared to the manual version. The only thing I did not like about the machine is that there is no center adjustment. The application that I use the machine for the most is booklets. I had to make an insert that would center the booklets. Otherwise, in every other application it does a tremendous job.
Pros: Binding Capacity, ease of use, Punch Capacity, Speed
Cons: Alignment Guide

We are a repro house that does comb binding on a fairly frequent basis. Our old unit broke and so we quickly decided to purchase this unit from Fellowes. It was easy enough to use that I didn't need to instructions to get rolling, and soon knocked out 3 bound copies of about 150+ pages in no time. Seems durable and well constructed, I'd give it two thumbs up.
