Bad Choice

I am so disappointed in this refrigerator. One reason is the ice-maker. It only makes enough ice to fill a couple cups a day. I live in Florida and ice is essential. Waiting for the cubes to drop is very time consuming. I have had this refrigerator for 11 months and curse it every time I get ice. Another issue is that if you have a wall next to the fridge and can only open the door 90 degrees, good luck. You cannot get into the fridge very well because the shelves on the door are so big you can't get past them with the door only open at a 90 degree angle. Also, the light on the top is so big that you cannot put a lot on the top shelf. I wish I had my 20 year old fridge back. I will not buy this type or brand of fridge again. I am very disappointed. Oh, if you wanted to put all you family photos and cute magnets on the door, forget it because its not magnetic!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fit my space and my taste!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just had our kitchen redone, and chose GE Stainless matching appliances (refrig, range, microwave), partly because it was the look we wanted and partly because we needed a narrower refrig to fit a specific space. This one fit the bill perfectly, so we coordinated our other appliances around the refrig. This refrig is perhaps a bit smaller overall than some,but still large enough for our needs, and allowed us to get the coordinated look we wanted with matching GE appliances.

Ge Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this refrigerator as a replacement of a top of line product that was purchased 9 months ago which stopped working completely after 4 months. Sales rep recommended this GE and so far no real complaints. This refrigerator is much bigger and spacious than the so-called top named product that was purchased. So I will see how this fairs in the next three to six months. It is well worth the investment and I am very happy with my refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had a new fridge in my life EVER. Yes, this is my 1st purchase of a brand new fridge in my entire life. We purchased a home that did not come with a fridge so it was time. It may be a refurbished model, but I have to say it keeps foods fresher longer than my previous fridges and the added bonus of the ice dispenser and water in the door is a huge deal. We only paid a fraction of retail price, and that may make this fridge a more appealing buy, sure, but it actually FIT in the area where our fridge goes, which was important since the house was built in the late 90's so most fridges on the market did not fit in stainless steel or many other types for that matter. It is DEEP so we can fit a ridiculous amount of food for 2 people. If you do not have many kids or you do not need need to refrigerate EVERYTHING you buy, this is a perfect fridge for you. We are enamored with it, both me and my husband love it. Now if we could only find the parts we need for it online....

Great Fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My fridge is working out very well, despite my concerns initially that a side by side would be awkward. The controls are great, the filtered water that I never thought I needed is used daily and I don't want to give it up ever! The interior is suitable for me and I'd suggest it for a small family (5 or fewer)...the stainless steel is easy to keep clean. The only minus is that the freezer is somewhat small though I learned to re-position the shelves for bigger items. All in all I really like it as it tells me how cold things are, runs quietly and basically looks good and fits my needs.

Nice Features & Good Icemaker

Very Good Small refrigerator
