The shears and the folding compound leverage are the only solid features on this tool.
The glass breaker is horribly placed and is cumbersome to use.
The strap cutter is flimsy and hangs lose off the side of the tool like a hangnail.
The twizzers have rounded edges are incapable of grabbing a hair let alone a splinter.
The can opener & bottle opener are flimsy and have rounded edges for flat screwdriver blades.
The philips head is rounded and can’t driver a #2 philips screw.
Why not put the glass breaker on the tip of the handle for striking, a solid strap cutter that nestled in vs hangs off the side, a more robust philips and sharper twizzers? Sorry but the seriousness of which this tool was envisioned for deserved far better quality and less qimicky components.

Needs a redesign

I like SOG knives and have owned a few in the past. As a patroller, this was a similar product to the Raptor, which is very popular.
However, the first pair I got the black paint was being scratched off the shears when folding and exchanged the day I received it. The second pair broke literally the first time I used them. The screwdriver, which I'm glad it has (as snowboard bindings frequently need adjustment), is very flimsy and brittle, breaking off and rendering it unusable. Come to find out, this tool is not covered under warranty. It has been sitting in the box ever since. It is also substantially larger than the Raptor when folded and doesn't have a clip, meaning that the case must be used or it has to be placed in a pocket.
Good ideas, but needs a redesign to address issues.

Great for cops, Medic/Fire look elsewhere

Pros: folding, leverage, autoclave cleaning,
Small frame when closed, even small parts are very durable
Cons: short blades, poorly placed O2 wrench, cleaning without use of an autoclave, unnecessary extras, no pants pocket clip
The molle pouch and small frame would make it nice for cops who want a pair of shears to hide somewhere on their belt or vest, the cons won't bother you if you're only useing them every now and again to cut clothes or seatbelts.
For EMTs and medics constantly pulling them out of the pouch and unfolding them all the time is going to annoy you, a pocket clip would be nice. Unless you have an autoclave on your rig, cleaning them after a trauma is difficult. The O2 wrench isn't the best, but gets the job done. The shears cut well but are a bit short for shaping splints and cutting motorcycle leather. The finger holes are big enough for most types of gloves.
The seatbelt cutter and window punch might work ok, but I wouldn't trust it to self egress out of a vehicle in an emergency

Great tool. Bad carry pouch.

I'm a firefighter/EMT and I bought these for work. The only aspects of the tool I consider of value to me, are the compact design, the sheets, the seatbelt cutter, and the glass breaker. I can also see the O2 key being handy. The extra tools on board seem a little silly, but I suppose it makes for better marketing. People outside of emergency services may consider purchasing if it's got a screw driver? Haha maybe.
The only issue I have, and it's a big issue, is with the carry pouch. Perhaps I received a poorly crafted pouch, but it is too loose for the shears. With any running or shaking, the shears fall out of the side of the pouch. I had to mod mine with gorilla tape so that I won't lose them. I hope future models will feature a more secure pouch.
Other than that, I recommend this product.

Have had theses for a few weeks and am pleasantly pleased. I hope that there longevity is as good as the performance. The power of the cut through performance is awesome.

Got this as a Father's day gift. compared to the raptor, it appears to be more versatile and will put up to more abuse.

Great Shears/Tool no reasonable holster

The Parashears are a fantastic tool to add to a kit but not so much for carry. There is no decent holster as nobody wants to carry the shears open in that nylon sheath. It also has no pocket clip like the Leatherman Raptor. Add a decent holster (multiple attachment options) and a window breaker and it would be far better than the Raptor

Great tool, but.....

Love these shears!!! Work in the hospital setting so the ability to survive sterilization is paramount! Great cutting force, and not only more tools than the Raptor but more relevant tools. I've had these for over 6 months now and the quality is great! Still cut like new. However, the holster that comes with the shears is less than stellar and there aren't many aftermarket options for carrying these shears. Unfortunately they are a little heavy to carry in a pocket... SOG, make a clip in holster for these!!!!!!
