Great product but has one major flaw. The way the pocket clip is mounted. It should be on the side the pliers are. That way when it’s in your pocket there is no way it can open when you put your hand in your pocket and jab your fingers into the pliers. This has happened to me multiple times in the short time I have had the tool.

Probably the best mini EDC multitool

Nearly perfect but: - Tool selection: No regular size flathead (!!), I'd take a saw over a serrated blade. Make some space by getting rid of the awl maybe? Unless your market research shows lots of people sewing leather garments on the commute to work? ;) I think hikers, bushcraft guys might prefer taking a dedicated tool if that's their thing. Even the can open is getting a bit obsolete these days but I could see someone using it to make a tuna salad at work or something. - Tools are quite short due to folding mechanism taking 25% of the length. Blade is 5cm, verging on too short. Only 67% of the length of the tool (In a Leatherman Wave for example it's 80% the length of the tool). - I got the black version, which probably looks too militaristic to slice some cheese at a picnic with my girl or cut an apple at the office (Karens might complain to HR that there's a madman with a knife cutting an apple using microaggressions or something). I think Victorinox SAK might look a bit more socially acceptable for urban, weekender types living in the city.
That said, I've compared all the other mini options and the PowerPint has the best tool combination. I use my Gerber Dime a lot for opening packages and beer bottles but that's about all it can do. I might buy a Victorinox SAK tool as well though for "socially acceptable food cutting in public".
All in all though none of these mini's hold up to a full size Leatherman. And someone who's truly outdoors, bushcrafters, hikers, campers, offroader bikers and 4WD'ers are always going to carry dedicated tools. So IMO it's better for a mini EDC tool to focus on stuff you'll use every day around the house and workplace rather than pretending to be a survival tool kit.

Originally I was impressed with this multitool. However, with use I have discovered many flaws and gladly waiting for a new revision. My complaints are as follows.
Not made in USA Scissors- lots of wiggle room, dull, and bind Screw drivers- Too small, regular phillips and flathead desired Line Cutter- Super dull File- needs to be more aggressive

I do like the tool, but I believe it could have been way better with a bit more effort on SOG's part! Pliers are the high point and up to most small tasks. I find the fit and finish below par. Make the tool 20% larger, put it together like you cared, get rid of the useless inbound screw drivers (both of them) for normal sized screwdrivers. Blades could be stronger and resist flex more. Better steel quality would go a long way to cornering the market with this tiny tool! I'd gladly pay another $10.-$15. to buy this in a premium material and finished tool!

Had about 2 weeks. Scissors extremely poor performance & now spring has broken. No decent flat head. Shame as I've found the file & box-cutter OK, both blades & awl very good & the small Philips & flathead OK for what they are. Wish Victorinox made this, it would be superb with good scissors & a proper flathead instead of bottle opener. Alternatively wish SOG would wake up to what they could have on their hands, improve toolset & work on QC. As it is not worth anywhere near the RRP. Even at discount prices I'm getting sick of things breaking in very short term, it's a false economy.

I really like the little SOG Powerplier. The pliers were great so far and the handles are very comfortable to use. The knives are very sharp and blade shape is perfect for EDC tasks. I also tested the other tools for small tasks and all worked for their intended use, but I did not torture them so far. I did with the plieres and they worked great on coat hangers. The coarse side of the file works for fingernails and wood. The sciccors can cut through paper but its the weakest tool of all. The 1/4 driver is awesome. So simple and effective. I hope that SOG will provide additional tools or improved scissors in the future. Its a great tool for modifications.

Great price offered on the power pint. Needed a small version for my quick grab bag for 2 day trips. Very happy with the functions and tools on this multi tool. This is my 3rd version of a SOG multitool I own. The 1/4" bit holder on this version is a true plus for this tool

I have this little multitool for about 6 months and im very pleased, first due to the size of the pliers comparing to its body, it is a truly edc multitool. my only complain is the lack of a flathead screwdriver and the quality of the scissors otherwise i would give 6 stars. keep up the good work sog.
