Still looks a good and works great after 10+ years of Iowa weather... 30 below zero, thunderstorms, etc. keeps my things dry.

Great product for outdoor storage

Just bought this to store my lawn mower outside and it works well. have room for additional items. Has molded in spots to install a shelf and the instructions to build the shelf are in the assembly instructions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

we bought this to store our 2 galvanized garbage cans in to keep the dogs etc. from getting into the garbage and it works great-we farm and we're purchasing another one to put on our agriculture spray trailer to keep pumps and chemical supplies in. Happy with the first one so buying a second

I have had this for 5+ years and was kept in the yard surrounded by trees. I had a baseball glove stored in it (among other sports equipment) that I forgot about after years and it was kept dry and still usable.
As with any storage container, bugs and spiders were present, most likely because it is dry.

Sometime over it's usage the roof rod went missing but did not deter from protecting the items it stored.
I also never used the lock ring mechanism that protrudes through the roof and never saw the roof ajar after storms. I assume that is the reason for it to ensure it doesn't get blown open.

I use the Horizontal Storage Shed to store my emergency generator. I can lift the lid (there is a built in brace to hold it open) open the doors and run the generator right inside the Shed.
I have a typical deck box with a lid that lifts that I use to store cans of gasoline for the generator.

Many of us cyclists need weatherproof storage and head for Rubbermaid. They look perfect for porch, back yard, apartments, with their lockability and PVC construction. However none of them have interiors 6' end-to-end to accomodate full length without dismandling, 30" wide to accomodate handlebars, and 48" high to accomodate adult seat and shifters. Time for Rubbermaid to add this to their product lineup. It would be a shoo-in for college towns! But if it's for kids bikes - perfect! Teach the kids to park the bike put their helmet there, too.

I purchased this horizontal storage shed for our homeowners association snow shovels and ice melt. I had no problems assembling it. The plastic is tough, BUT it is also flexible. I don't doubt it will last a long time (like a rubbermaid outdoor trash can). Even with a padlock, it is not secure at all. With padlock in place, it took about 20 seconds to get in. If you don't care about security, it's a fine shed. If security matters, do not buy. Oh and ... it looks great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
