Great Product

I have had this for 4 years now and not a single problem with any part of it and I use it regularly from frying potatoes to grilling sandwiches. I have read many reviews complaining that the lid shatters. The one thing they all had in common is that they were trying to bake something in it. It's a skillet not an oven. I don't think it is meant for high temperatures for long periods of time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent design features and quality with the added benefit of saving some cabinet space. Nice even heat distribution and its immersible so clean up is quick and easy.

I really enjoy using this skillet. The ease of washing and then storing makes it above other skillets. To keep from scratches the skillet with the lid, I just put a hand towel in between

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just spoke with company to see if they had changed lid due to numerous reports of breakage. They have not and ‘blame’ customer use. Not valid with this many breakages. I need 10 of them for a home food business. Definitely will not deal with this company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tempered glass is used because it is safer, stronger, and more heat resistant than normal glass. Tempered glass is difficult to break, and even in the event of breakage, it disintegrates into small fragments that reduce the likelihood of injury. Also, the skillet's glass cover is designed for a loose fit to enable steam to escape. In addition to the specific design features and the safety features of tempered glass, all the covers are rigorously tested to ensure compliance with industry standards

You will find information like: To reduce the chance of breakage, do not use the cover if it is scratched, chipped or cracked. Also, avoid exposing the glass cover to sudden or uneven temperature changes. For example, do not place a hot cover on a cold surface, and allow the cover to cool before washing.
