We finished assembling the 36" model this morning. Now to do the cover seasoning and start using it. Before this, we used the small single burner tabletop. That works great but we wanted something larger.
My only nit with the grill is the hard cover. It's designed to hang on the back while the grill is in use. But, you can't do that because the grease cup is on the back and with that in place, the brackets on the bottom of the cover will not allow the cover to be hung.
The cover and the back of the grill top have what looks to be cutouts and holes suggesting that the top can be mounted to the back of the grill allowing the top to hinge up in a vertical position. But no hardware was included for this, nor are there instructions in the manual for this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I couldn't be happier with my Blackstone 36" griddle. I love the griddle and I bought the soft cover, (hoping it wasn't junk). When it arrived I put it on realizing it was very high quality with tie down straps and reinforced corners.
Now I need the hard cover, well I tried to order it but It's out of stock. I looked at the website again as soon as the weather was getting nice, and it was available. I ordered the hard cover ( hoping it wasn't junk) and when it arrived I put it on the griddle and it fit perfectly!! I am very happy with my 36" griddle and both of my covers, high quality is what I expected and high quality is what I got!

I ordered the hard cover ( hoping it wasn't junk) and when it arrived I put it on the griddle and it fit perfectly!! I just received my 36" Griddle Hard Cover and couldn't be happier. I had read a few reviews suggesting that is was flimsy and this was my only concern. It is not. It's well made, powder coated, and fits perfect. I don't think it could be any heavier without being a problem. I made a point to come straight here and write this review. If you want a hard cover fear not. This is a great add on for your griddle.

Sorry to say that one side was bent in and the paint was scratched. I am still keeping it because the soft cover Faded and looks horrible. I also ordered replacement knobs that the plating was Not good at all geee I do love my 36” Backstone because of mine you have sold 5 more to family and friends

Much better than the soft cover, no waiting for the griddle off. Can be used as a steamer or for melting cheese when placed on the griddle as well.

Avoid the cloth cover!

It is not water proof. Every time it rained or snowed puddle would get through onto the cast iron. And we all know what happens when iron gets wet. I even tried to put items under to raise it up like a tent. But it leaks. Rust is not our friend.
