Cover feels fairly sturdy and covered the griddle well. I use a soft cover over the top of the hard cover just as a secondary form of protection from weather. I like how it hangs on the back of the griddle while cooking. It creates a wind barrier and acts as a splash guard. It does push up against the drip tray while hanging on the back but the tray is still able to function without being squished. Good addition

If you don't purchase a griddle with a lid this is a must have. Keeps the bugs off your griddle when your not cooking and along with a cover keeps your griddle from getting wet. Well made.
