Got this about a month ago, I’m a mechanic and use my lights often. I love the power and the battery life! This thing is a little larger than a Streamlight Strion, yet has more power and run time than a Stinger HL! It’s surprisingly weighty, it’s got some good heft to it, very solidly made, the focusing head moves smoothly and solidly. I wish the focusing beam could go a bit tighter but it is still more than enough to throw thanks to the ample power. The clip is wide and lets it sit rather deep in the pocket, I put my clip so it goes tip down. It is the perfect size for a super capable EDC for a heavy flashlight user. I have only charged this thing once so far! I bought this bad boy with my own money. If you’re a mechanic and are tired of the overpriced Streamlights off the truck this is your light! I also recommend the Breaker or the A25R although those are more of dyed in the wool work lights. This finally brings the power and runtime into a super nifty EDCable package, backed by a company that actually backs up their products.
I’ve had this COAST PX200R 2000 Lumens since 05 Mar 2025 Wow factor right out of the box. Opened this flashlight up to a rechargeable ZX955, 5000 mAh battery at 3.7 vdc. The charging method is “C”, which is cool because it charges faster than the USB-A port. This flashlight has five different light modes and a max output of 2000 lumens in TURBO Mode. It’s also water resistant and dust resistant to IP54, which means, NO swimming with this flashlight. The best thing I see is, the flashlight is NOT Round. It has a clip as well as a squared off area for the charger that keeps this flashlight from rolling away. The On-Board charging port is located outside the battery area. I tried to use this as a charging SOURCE, But the battery or the flashlight has circuitry that prevents them from doing so. So, NOT a charging source that you can use to charge up your phone etc. But, a Blinding Flashlight in Turbo mode. Per the COASTPORTLAND WEBSITE, the warranty is one year on the battery, and lifetime on the flashlight. Observations: Tried removing the clip to put it on in reverse and it scratched the barrel where it is clipped. Not a big deal but to an OCD person like myself, it’s scratching the paint. The base is NOT magnetic for those times when you need that option.
I was sent the flashlight, it’s an overall great light with nice features. Battery life is good as well. Waterproof would be my only suggestion along with button layout.
I received this product about a month ago, and I have analyzed the quality sufficiently to give the pros and cons. Cons: Charging cover is difficult to open. The reversible clip is tightly clipped to the body, and difficult to reverse. Power button is on the side instead of the top (inconvenient feature). Pros: Super bright! Durable construction. Textured metal grip. Power button that indicates battery life. Rated 8/10 battery. Sturdy telescoping lens!
