Frustrated w/G25 flashlight

Bought this for my mother two months ago. Came back to visit and it wasn't working. Very difficult to get the end off to check the batteries - had to gently use pliers. The top battery was so corroded I couldn't dig the batteries out of the cylinder.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Small light the size of a thick marker. For 330 lumens it’s very bright. Low and high setting
