Bought this flashlight from a CDN retailer. 1. Let me start with saying that the LED's in this flashlight are bright, but only worked like a flashlight should, turned on, turned off. 2. No hi/lo setting. simply on/off, that's all. 3. Was plenty bright as long as it had fresh batteries. Drained batteries quickly. 4. On/off switch didn't last. Could definitely use a better quality switch. In my line of work, my light gets turned on and off on a regular basis. 5. Conveniently, my in store warranty expired and now i'm forced to purchase a new one.
This flashlight is great. The range is very good, the clairity is hard to beat and lumens are up there. The only thing I dislike is that it makes noise because the batteries jiggle around inside of it...which could have been very easily fixed by inserting a thin plastic sleeve around the batteries. Other than it sounds like a baby rattle I love this flashlight.unbeatable for the price.
I bought this light three months ago, have used it twice... It was great then went to use it today and it won’t turn on, put new batteries in it and still don’t work... It’s been in a drawer and not been dropped or miss used, still looks brand new... Won’t be getting another...

Nice smaller light , I use it mostly to see into small spaces being a mechanic. I like the way is does both- a bright inside circle with extra light around. Sometimes there are obstacles and can't point the light exactly where I want to see, so the extra light circle really helps.
Have had many of these “redesigned” G26 flashlites, every one has gone back to Coast for repair/ replacement. Main problem: Tube gets excessively warm during use, batteries (from Coast) leak acid inside tube. Are these problems related? IDK. I’m not a flashlite engineer, but, I DO know when something gets hot, it is consuming energy. Apparently, the problem has not been resolved, the new ones do the same thing.

I had been looking for a flashlight that had these features: Fixed Beam, AA Batteries, End Switch, 100+ lumen, and 2 or less intensity settings. (I am not into rechargeable or special size batteries, or going thru 5 different intensities to get HIGH.)
I had purchased a replacement for a discontinued 100 Lumen product from a competitor I had gotten 10 years ago that had a MSRP Twice of the G26, I started with the G25 and was very impressed with that item, and then I purchased several G26's, and all I can say is WOW...Its BRIGHT, very durable, turns on to HIGH on first click every time, has an easy to use end "clicky switch" (beats the heck out of the "twist on" style small lights) I have literally dropped mine 25 feet to the concrete, and dropped a G25 into antifreeze and thought it was "done" well I was wrong...the thing keeps working flawlessly!
I don't use them all daily, so I use only "Lithium AA Batteries" that are available everywhere (brand "E"), they are about 2x the price of standard AA...BUT...they don't leak and have a 10 year shelf life, they also last 2-3 times as long as standard alkaline.
I have given MANY away as gifts, because I like to give practical gifts that are high quality.
