Great Smoothie Blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with my new Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender with 56oz. Plastic Jar. I am using it along with my current blender made by another major national appliance company. I haven’t been displeased with my current blender, but I did notice immediately how much more powerful the motor is in this blender and the blades do a much quicker and more thorough job of crushing ice and frozen or fresh fruit in making drinks like frozen daiquiris, margaritas, cosmopolitans, and Bellini’s and smoothies. Hamilton Beach calls the stainless steel blades “Ice Sabre” blades. I am very pleased with its performance as well as the heavy grade feel of it that tells me it should last and continue working great for a long time and the 650 watt motor will have the power for making smoothies and crushed ice drinks for a long time. I have not previously made a lot of smoothies, but I have tried a couple already with this blender and I love them and the texture is perfect. Outside of frozen drinks, another major use of my blender has always been a creamy Mexican dip where I put a 16 oz. jar of hot salsa in the blender and puree it and then add an eight oz. softened cream cheese bar cut into cubes. I tried it with this blender and it worked like a charm and made my easy delicious dip. I am very pleased with this blender and highly recommend it as a great addition to your kitchen and a thoughtful gift for your friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new blender is perfect,every morning i make smoothies for breakfast and lunch and some nights milk shakes,the high and low settings are perfect it crushes ice with no problem,parts are dishwasher safe so cleaning is a breeze and love the easy pour spout hands down must have kitchen appliance!!!!!

Fun Blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun blender. I brought it home, and I washed it with warm, soapy water. This is because the blender smelled like plastic, an odor that reinforced the impression that it was brand new and never before used. After washing and rinsing, the plastic scent vanished.
I like this blender. I like the measuring units on the sides of the blender. Additionally, I like the measuring units inside the cap. More generally, I like the parts. It feels like it will last when I hold the handle, and it looks like it will last when I use it. It offers the following settings in low and high speed: Grate, Ice Crush, Milk Shake, Smoothie, Icy Drink, Stir, Whip, Purée, Grind, and Chop.
This is a fun blender for fun times. Think margaritas! Think daiquiris! Think other frozen drinks at the bar! Think milk shakes, too! Think fun!

Great lightweight, powerful,easy to clean blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender is great for making smoothies and milkshakes. Just choose the appropriate speed / setting and let run for minute and you're good to go.
I like the fact that it is lightweight and you can easily lift off the 56 ounce blending jar when done. The pour top lid is a nice feature, too.
When I first used it, it had a slight burning smell. I've tried a few other devices, from other various brands, that all had a slight burning smell at first, but disappeared after a few uses. I followed the instructions - removed the blending jar and ran on high for 2 minutes. After a few uses, the burning smell is all but gone.
The only bad thing is that it is a little loud. It is a blender, though, and it only runs for a minute or so. Not that big of a deal for me.
Overall, I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.

Great blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this product for about 4 days and so far the 3 drinks I have made from it came out great! Frozen fruit smoothie, a slushie type of drink and a margarita. All three had ice or frozen fruit and this blender made the drinks seem ice free. No chunks! The bottom of the blender has a storage hole for the wire which is great. And the blender lid has a “closed”, “open” and “strain” option (the lid is hard to turn to one of those but I guess I could always take the lid off and move it to the hole I wanted, no biggie). I could be late to the blender game but I haven’t had one with the lid options. I also believe the the wide base and indents contributes to the liquid being able to blend easily. I havent had a lot of in my life time but this blender is great!

The Best Smoothie Maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are many choices when it comes to the Hamilton Beach Blender. There is a Low and High button along with Grate and Ice Crush Pulse buttons. Next are the Milk Shake, Smoothie - My favorite, and Icy Drink. The blender made a perfect consistent smoothie made with frozen blue berries, frozen straw berries, a banana, natural peanut butter, and a protein shake. The Plastic jar is plastic and made well. It is not heavy and easy to clean. The blender motor is not loud but it is very powerful. This blender made my smoothie better than my other blender ever did. If you want to eat healthier and have a cool refreshing smoothie then get you a Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender.

My wife loves the lightweight blending jar. I would highly recommend this product. This blender replaced a 10 year old blender with a heavy glass blending jar. Great lightweight option for older people.
