Good design and easy to use and clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender has performed very well. So far we've used it for making smoothies, icy drinks and pesto with consistently good results. The blender is well designed. The buttons are intuitive, nicely organized, easy to read and have dual options. The blender fits easily on the base without a fuss, and is quite stable when placed on the kitchen counter or sink. Overall it is quite simple to use and clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got a Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender and have been pleasanltly surprised by this blender. It has all the features I was looking for in a Smoothie Blender as I am on a diet and need to make smoothies every day to fit my plan. This Blender has 10 speeds and a whopping big 56 ounce capacity. It has a powerful 650 watt motor and easily makes quick work of ice, kale, fruit, berries and pineapple or anything else you use in a smoothie. It has patented blades to crush the ice and I have had other blenders that cannot handle the ice and other ingredients at the same time and it takes several steps to make a smoothie and causes you to get tired of the process before you start in the morning when you want to get it all done in a hurry and get off to work. Now my grandkids love to help pick the ingredients and watch it all come together so we can all share a smoothie anytime during the day or night, and cleanup is a breeze. Another great feature is the handy pour spout on the giant 56 ounce jar that allows you to keep from pouring the mix all over the counter when you finish your blending. The 10 speeds that are availble give you all the blending capabilities you might need for any type of operation. The large filler cap on the jar gives you the ability to add any extra ingredients easily and quickly while blending and achieving the consistensy you want. Solid model, lots of great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok full confession I have never owned a blender before and used it the first time today. However I was impressed with how well it worked. Love the range of speeds and pulse options it sports. Also, the top detaches very easily and can be used as a modified pitcher for pouring. There is a center portion of the lid that twists off and is great for adding liquids mid-blend. The motor feels powerful and the teeth that engage to twist the blades are made of a solid-looking rubber and look like they would last much longer than the cheap plastic ones I have seen in other models that tend to wear out or snap. Also, this may seem like a minor perk but the blades themselves are solid but not so sharp that they would easily cut skin. This made cleaning a lot easier, as I did not feel like I had to dance as gingerly around the blades. My only critique would be that it took some time and finagling to get my Orange Julius fully blended (was a little chunky), but I think that is probably because I am a newbie and attempted to make it too thick with a lot of frozen banana and not enough liquid lol. All in all, seems like a solid model with a lot of great features.

Great for thick smoothies!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love smoothies and try to cook most of my own food, so having the right tools in the kitchen is key. And by right, I mean easy to clean, operate and ideally made of quality products - like stainless steel metal and plastic that's BPA free. So this Smoothie Blender seemed like the perfect addition! Upon opening, it's lightweight but not flimsy. The plastic isn't super thick, but I think it would stand up to years of use. It also looks nice on the kitchen counter - sleek and doesn't take up too much space. All of the parts click into place easily, and the buttons seem easy enough to operate. I made a cherry, kale and berry smoothie with almond milk, water, ice and cocoa. It took a few tries to get the ratios correct, but it seemed to work well after a few stops and stirs. I also like thicker smoothies, so I'm sure more liquid or ice would be easier. It was about the volume I'd expect too - not quiet, but not louder than it should sound chopping ice! The one reason I took off a star is the lid doesn't stay on while blending. It doesn't pop off completely, but I wouldn't want to leave it and walk away, so I kept my hand on it the whole time. Otherwise, it was great and made a smooth, enjoyable Summer drink. And I'm excited to try new recipes with it too.

Good smoothie blender!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blender is lightweight with a base that doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. Buttons easy to push. Quiet when in use compared to others I have used. Impressed with how well it blends and also crushes ice. Makes great pina coladas!!! Only problem I had was when I accidentally left a metal spoon in it, I damaged the plastic bottom. Now I will have to replace the pitcher and metal blades that are attached in the base of the pitcher.

Smooth & Easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so pleased at creating my first fruit smoothies this week with my new Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender. Not only did I create some tasty creations, I was impressed with how much it held and easy it was to do. I tried all the buttons to see what worked best, I liked that it had a button for smoothies and for crushing ice as well as many other settings. The wave technology was nice, it mixed everything so well I didn't have to do any stirring when I poured them into cups. Cleanup was really quick, the blender container was easy to wash out to be ready for my next use. This is a product I would happily recommend to friends and family.

Great smothie maker

Its confusing to have smoothie and an icy drink button since i consider them both icy drinks. Cleaned up after use very quickly and easily. Looking forward to many years of using it and experimenting making things.
