We used fruit protein powder & ice. One thing im super picky about is how a blender crushes the ice & this blender did such a good job. The smoothies tasted great. I also used it for milkshakes & it they came out great with little effort!

I used the slushy low setting. The result was a smooth foamy beverage.

Next I combined frozen cherries with brandy and fruit juice, added solid ice cubes The cherries became smooth, a nice evening beverage. The ice became slushy it is very smooth. 1/3cup frozen cherries with 2 jiggers brandy and a shot of grenadine
Using the chop setting, I put in carrots so nice and fine chopping. Great for using in soup And baking

Great blender for any job!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this blender at home to make mixed fruit breakfast shakes and also to make cocktail drink mixes with ice. The breakfast shakes were made with no problems and came out perfectly blended.
However, when we tried to make the cocktail mixes with ice, the blades kind of slowed down. The ice was not being crushed properly until doing 2 or 3 blends.
Overall, this blender is a really good buy because it does do the jobs you want to do but maybe the motor and blades can be made a bit more powerful in an upgraded model.

Easy to make an icy drinks without difficulties

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The New Hamilton Beach 10 Speed 56 oz. Smoothie Blender is no doubt an easy-to-use and convenient home appliance.
There are several buttons at the bottom of the blender, it clearly states different kinds of usage, such as: STIR, MILK SHAKE, SMOOTHIE and more. I can control the blending with 10 speeds plus pulse for my favorite frozen drinks.
All I had to do was get the ingredients ready. I put the milk, vanilla ice cream and banana into the blender, then I just pressed the MILK SHAKE button in a LOW speed mode, a home-made banana ice cream milkshake was done within a minute. Although this was the first time for me to operate a blender, it's easy and beyond my expectation.
After I told my husband the blender was really easy to use, he tried and made his own milkshake the next day. If you like milkshakes and icy drinks, I highly recommend this 'Blend with confidence' blender to you.

Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender with 56 oz jar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this blender not only for smoothies, but for chopping ice for drinks, making slushies and chopping fruit. Great item for big family or having friends over! Looking forward to trying it all fall and for all of the holiday mixes! We make ciders and punches for seasonal holidays. I would recommend this blender to anyone requiring drinks for more than 2 people.

It crushed the ice into fine pieces, no chunks, like the other ones we owned. So far, we've used it to make yummy smoothies and several adult beverages, need I say more. It will be used many times in our house.

The one-piece plastic blending jar is a solid but light-weight plastic, far lighter than heavier glass units. It’s 56 Oz (1.68L) capacity is great for preparing a range of beverages for family or friends over single-serving blenders. It’s variable high/low 10 speeds are paired with practical descriptors for whatever you’re trying to use it for. It easy to create your beverage of choice; fruit/milk smoothies and milkshakes were easy to prepare. I liked testing it’s ice crush pulse setting, making powdered snow/ice crystals out of the large ice cubes I fed it in seconds. Ice Crush is an important setting for those sunny afternoons. This compact blender punches above its weight for a smoothie blender and you’ll enjoy how easy it is to clean.
