my new blender is perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the size, color, design is perfect I really like my new blender it is so easy to use and with a plastic cup which is great it won't break so easy. it is very good very easy to clean and store I can make my smoothies or sauces it comes with several options I am really satisfied my opinion is based on my experience

A Lightweight Blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smoothie blender is best for those who like a thinner smoothie, the kind that uses a skinny straw versus a thicker smoothie with a fat straw. My smoothies came out just the way I like them, with few ice chunks (I like mine super blended, with no fruit chunks - they have to be easy to slurp!) I don't think the motor on this smaller-sized blender is strong enough for a thicker smoothie, even when you add the liquid ingredients first. This blender comes with a plastic jar, so you cannot add anything very hot to it, the way you can with a glass jar, but it does have a nice pour spout, to minimize messes.
On the plus side, this blender is not overly loud, which can be a problem with blenders. The buttons are easy to read and are nicely sized. I like the more traditional shape of this blender, it was easy to use a rubber spatula to get all that smoothie goodness into my glass.
To keep this blender small and lightweight, the jar is plastic, not glass. This could make it less durable. This would make a good dorm room blender, given its size and weight, and cost.
I would have liked to see Hamilton Beach enclose a recipe booklet, to spark my imagination.
My take: if you want an appliance that will blend up heavier mixes, check out HB’s line of bigger, heavier, and more powerful blenders with a glass jar. But if you need a lightweight, easy to clean blender, give this one a try, it's priced right!

Sleek new design

The right pictures and word placement for everyone to understand what the blender would do I was very impressed. Once I got the blender out the box I use it to make a smoothie. The buttons we’re easy to read and to use. The blade cut the ice very easily. I love the picture design how it overlapped over the base. And the bottom of the picture you couldn’t unscrew love that part. It was easy to clean by placing it in the dishwasher. The base was easy to wipe off. I love the met design of the base. I love everything about the blender.

Amazing quality! Perfect for breakfast or a snack

I regularly make smoothies and I can safely say that this smoothie blender makes creamy, delicious smoothies. I also really like that it is dishwasher safe. So far, I haven't tried making a milkshake yet.

Not just for smoothies ----

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First all, the electric cord needs to be longer. But, in spite of that, I do like this so much better than the one I had that unfortunately died after 20 years of faithful service. The way the blender sits on the stand is wonderful. When I put fruit in to be chopped the wide base is so much more stable than the blender I had previously. The container holds enough for two smoothies (or one really big one) and everything mixes easily. The lid sits tight - although the first time I used the blender I put in too much liquid and the lid came off. (it fought bravely to stay on - but lost). I like there are specific buttons for milk shakes, smoothies or icy drinks but it does more than those three things. It also has controls for pulse, grate or chop & more so will be useful all the time. I highly recommend it for your everything blender.

Easy Does It

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to measure with the clear markings on the plastic jar. Easy mixing with the powerful blades and motor - no frozen chunks. Easy cleanup with the one piece jar. My husbands medical situation requires that he have high protein snacks between meals. The Smoothie Blender makes that protein smoothie extra easy!

Great smoothie maker for the whole family

But after several uses, it has proven to be a good smoothie maker. It cleans easily and is simple enough for my teen kids to use. We have made milkshakes, ice smoothies and fruit and yogurt drinks. It's actually a solid product.

Lightweight Powerful Smoothie Blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender arrived with a somewhat minimal user manual but fortunately it is quite easy to intuit and use the blender. It certainly has all the modes I need to use for the main purpose of making smoothies and fruit and vegetable drinks. My first concoction was a smoothie with yogurt, almond milk, fresh blueberries, fresh peaches (love this time of year with all fresh fruits), ice and guar gum fiber powder. I used the smoothie power setting high and then low after I had to add the fiber powder which thanks to the removable filler cap, I was able to just place in mixing jar without having to remove whole lid. One reason I wanted this blender was due to its light weight. Indeed, it is easy to move without putting stress on your wrist or arm. It certainly is powerful (although a little loud) enough for any purpose I would have for it. The ice on top was drawn downward as advertised with the strong stainless-steel blades and the whole pieces of peach and blueberries all mixed quickly and smoothly. I found the pour spout a little sluggish so I took the top off and poured the mixture into a glass much more quickly without any dripping, I wish they had included more information on how to use the various settings with information in the box but recipes can be obtained online. All in all, Hamilton Beach delivered all that I wanted in a blender that is reasonably priced, portable, powerful, and easy to clean.
