I've waited to test and review this product for over a year ....used it on a daily basis...and it's held up to several accidental drops ....and it works as good as the day I got it ....what a well made product ...I am rough on stuff and this baby has held up ...that speaks volume ....thanks coast for a great flashlight ....appreciate it!!!!....randy

easy to use, perfect power to size ratio extra pwr in turbo mode I work aviation at night (that's when a/c get fixed) and i need a really good and bright light for walk around inspections, and the turbo mode is perfect for having a good look at the horizontal and vertical stab's cutting through weather etc. even has a decent run time if you're not burning the turbo mode too much.

Don’t waste your money on the XP20R. The floodlight is fine for finding your keys in a purse, but the "Bulls-Eye" spotlight is a total myth—I’ve seen fireflies with more distance. I could literally throw a rock into the darkness and it would travel further than this beam.
It also has a "1-hour work, 6-hour sleep" battery schedule that would make a sloth jealous. I’m past my return date, so I’m currently stuck using this as a warning to others. Coastal, if you’re reading this, please have some mercy and send me a different model that actually lives up to the specs. Don’t be like me; buy something—anything—else.

Good light w/2 minor drawbacks

This is a good, close to great, flash light. It’s first drawback in my opinion is the slide focus does not come close to a good tight beam. At its tightest point it seems to me to be a smaller flood light. It has very little focus ability. It’s only other drawback is that it does not come with a clip, a belt pouch, or a wrist lanyard. Everything else about the XP20R is well designed and well built. Feels like quality in the palm of your hand.

This light is really quite awesome. Like all of coast products I have purchased it is top quality. 4000 lumens with multiple light settings. This light is a must have for any adventure or to help when working on that classic car. The locking feature is essential to eliminate accidental turn ons and to help keep battery life up. Thank you Coast for another awesome product!
