Unique, bright, and easy to use. Ive used the charge my phone part of the light and its extremely bright at night when walking the dog. I would highly recommend you purchase the xp20r, you wont be disappointed.

A high-quality, reliable, do-it-all flashlight

Having received this as part of the field testing program, I really wanted to give it some thorough use and see if it lived up to everything on its product page. Not only did it do everything it said it would, it did with ease and was a treat to use the whole time. I used it for a few days around the house and in the outdoors, and it worked wonderfully for both. The brightness settings and beam distance are really, really nice and give you all the visibility you need, plus the option to use it as a power bank is helpful when you forget to charge up other important things. After that, I brought it to work to see how it could hold up to the boiling hot, icy cold, dusty, greasy, wet, dark environments of a steel mill, and it didn't disappoint one bit. The different brightness and focus settings were incredibly useful (from distant inspections with the high setting to reading prints with moonglow) and the flashlight took all of those environmental factors and (unintentional) impacts without hesitation. Not once in my week or so of use did I have to charge it up either, the battery life is pretty incredible and just keeps on going.
Overall, this flashlight straight up rocks for any use you can find for it. From general to outdoors to high stress work use, it takes it all and does it reliably and with ease. The only thing I'd suggest is to use a sheath for it for work, as it's a bit cumbersome in a pocket, especially if you already carry other things like a knife or tape measure.

It's a solid flashlight

This is one of many high power flashlights that I own. This is definitely the brightest! I have another one similar in power but I noticed this has more of a daylight white than blue tint. The beam is very wide at max aperture. At max zoom, I do wish it would focus in a little tighter as it's not much of a spot beam. Still very useful though. The mechanism to focus the lens works just fine. It stays put and doesn't move at all. I keep this in my backpack when I go to work so it gets banged around a lot. There is some wear on the finish but that's not surprising as all my other flashlights show the same wear. I will say one thing I noticed was that the lens has not gotten scratched up or chipped at all like my other flashlights. Another thing I like is that this flashlight is very compact for it's power output. I did a test to see if the manufacturer claims for length of time were accurate and they were spot on. I left the flashlight on high power and it literally turned off within a couple minutes of it's rated 2 hours and 45 minutes. During that test I held the flashlight to see how hot it got and nowhere on the flashlight did it burn or hurt to hold. Overall very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend.

Great Light, Super Features, Versatile - I like it

Coast sent this to me to evaluate. I give it 5 stars with very few reservations for its intended use. It does not have the zoom of other lights. It does zoom, but the beam stays fairly wide even at max zoom. So, probably not for you if you want to reach out and touch someone. But if you want a work light for the truck cab, a camp flashlight, search and rescuse use, etc. This fits the bill. The recharging takes a while but that also depends on your wall charger and once it is charged it lasts and lasts. And, it also comes with a 3 AA cell adapter, so you can carry backup AAs just in case. The battery carrier is also very high quality compared to the other cheap multiple battery holders I have experienced. The rechargable battery is also a great feature. The Zithion-X ZX-9555 is a fantastic lithium ion battery and perfectly matched for this flashlight and get this..you can also charge it outside the flashlight as it has a smart charge USB C input on the battery itself. The zoom also has a lock, which is nice. The light switch has four settings, high, higher, low, lower. You can also do the turbo max light for about 45 seconds which is another nice feature that gives you more light if you need it but also reverts back to save the battery. Very well built and carefully machined aluminum body. Tailpiece screws in and out nicely with an o-righ seal. Good waterproofing and it works well in the rain. Also, you can charge your phone or whatnot as it has an "input" USB C slot and an "output" slot for charging things. This is really a bonus vs carrying a separate USB power supply. USB slots have a nice rubber cover over them. Four green LEDs show that it is charging or charged. Nice knurled front for tactical use if needed. Overall, a great flashlight. This is staying in the truck and so far it has performed flawlessly and aside from the throw/zoom issue, I highly recommend it. If Coast would tune the zoom so that you can get a tighter patter at say 50 or more yards it would be perfect. Also available in two other versions with higher output, but this one is bright enough for me.

I only had it for a week and WOW!!! The built and quality is exceptionally well thought out. Great broad peripheral vision on flood mode setting and substantial observable assessment on spot mode while performing general visual inspection of an aircraft exterior on ground. The beams luminescent power has excelled while utilizing in the downpour of rain. Superb battery life output and the accommodation of having a dual power to use alkaline battery in need is a very good option in unexpected event. An amazing light that elevated the complexities of my duties involved.

Durable and easy to use

I received this to field test in my everyday life and it withstood what I threw at it. Let me first say that the no-roll feature saved it from certain death when I left it on my tailgate and drove about a mile to 7-11. I was shocked to see it was still there! Great add-on, guys! I haven't even charged it yet, got it about a week ago and use it several times a day for any task needing a light source or just to add additional light and it's still at 75% charge! AMAZING! It's durable, weatherproof and packs a little heft but not so much to be annoyingly heavy. I seriously love it so much I sleep with it in reach at night now! Definitely a bargain for the money and of course, with a lifetime guarantee Coast hit it outta the park on this one. Great product, highly recommended and great addition to any toolbar, glove box or tacklebag.

Coast sent me this flashlight to be a tested in everyday use and I have to say it is one of the best flashlights I've ever had. It is super comfortable in the hands and it is also super bright also like the fact that it has a spot for a linyard I've only had it for a day and already fell in love with it and of course later on I will post another one thank you Coast for allowing me to be part of the crew
