I love the Barbie’s that represent those with disabilities. Barbie is an iconic line with so much influence to girls and women all over the world. When I lost part of my vision I felt lost and alone. Seeing a Barbie doll with the same affliction makes me feel like there’s hope to bring awareness and representation to all🩷

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie is very gorgeous and has a fashionable outfit. This is a great way to teach children about inclusion, diversity, and also about people with different abilities. This Barbie gave my daughter the opportunity to learn people who have vision loss or are blind. She learned about the benefits of a cane and sunglasses. This is her favorite Barbie at the moment, and she absolutely loves her outfit and hair.

Just purchased and love everything about this! Every child (sighted or blind) should include this hip, confident, smart friend in their Barbie collection. Representation matters.

As a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist, Teacher of the Visually Impaired and Certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist for the Blind and Visually Impaired, I think that it is absolutely awesome that there is now a Barbie doll that represents a person with a visual impairment. Way to go, Mattel! I still have all of my Barbie dolls from when I was growing up, and I look forward to adding this one to my collection. I loved the Barbie movie too!

We Love Representation

We love that Barbie is inclusive. My 7-year-old son and I love having a Barbie with dark sunglasses and a cane. He uses sunglasses everyday and is building his cane skills for future use as his vision has the potential to decrease. We look forward to a Ken or one of the Chelsea boy dolls having a cane as well.

As a parent of a child who is blind, this is exciting to see a Barbie with a long white cane!
At Barbie’s next IEP meeting, I’d love advocate for at least one accessory kit that includes additional items used daily by folks who are blind or have low vision. 🦯📗📘📙🦮
Any Kelly doll can be blind, be the leader of their own learning, and grow into a successful contributor to society with access to the appropriate tools.
