Terrible Bloatware
on June 4, 2025
Posted by: Bob F
I have had Samsung phones goingback to the S8. Never again the bloatwarr that they load is obnoxious. Especially the Galaxy Store. You can't unistall it or tirn off notifications so you are constantly getting ad in your notifications. The Pixel is my next phone.

Meh, just meh.

Lets count how many features Samsung has removed over the years shall we. 1. SD card slot (for an Ultra model thats just a no no). 2. Headphone jack 3. Bluetooth support on the S-Pen.
Response from Samsung USBy R&R TeamJune 24, 2025
Hello Anthony B_OKC, thank you for sharing your thoughts about your Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with us. We understand how frustrating it can be when features you have relied upon have been changed on your device, and we would love to help you discover additional methods of accomplishing your goals. For the micro SD card slot you mention, the removal has been an effort to enhance the durability and water resistance of your device. This has the added benefit, when using cloud based storage expansion, you can access your data on any of your Samsung devices in your ecosystem. For the headphone jack, you would still be able to use your favorite wired headphones, and would need to use a USB-C to headphone jack adapter to plug directly in to your charging port. We have provided a link to an article to hel;p you integrate the redesigned S Pen features in to your usage. Lastly, we have provided a link to the Samsung SUpport Team if you haev additional questions about your device, or any of your Samsung products. Thank you for being a Samsung customer. -Elizabeth

This s25 ultra is AMAZING!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Samsung galaxy s25 ultra is just amazing from the build quilty and the weight to the phone and don't get me started with the screen it's amazing a huge. I just switched from ios to andriod and don't regret it a single bit. I use this phone for content creation and the camera is just perfect. I've personally never felt a smooth and sharp video creation when using a pro video mode. And then in addition the galaxy Ai helps with photo editing! This has come in very handy with taking unwanted objects from a picture to make it perfect. It works so well you can't even tell there was something there before. My overall experience has been super amazing and this battery life last me all day long with pretty heavy usage. I give this phone a 10/10

Useless S pen on the ultra 25
on November 5, 2025

I purchased the Galaxy S24 Ultra (or S25 Ultra) expecting full use of the S Pen—including the remote camera shutter function (press the S Pen button to take a photo while holding the phone at a distance). For previous models this worked well. For example, Samsung’s official documentation for the S24 Ultra states that you can set the S Pen button as “Take picture” under Settings → Advanced features → S Pen → Air actions.
However, with the S25 Ultra (and apparently future models), the S Pen no longer supports the Bluetooth/remote shutter function. Samsung themselves confirm the new S Pen is non-Bluetooth enabled and does not support the remote photo shutter feature.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do not like the S25 ultra at all. I have the S23 ultra and feel that is far superior to the S25 ultra.

When you're at the top, there's only one way to go
on November 8, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, it is a bit of a dissappointment from previous versions.
• The physical dimensions have diminished from sexy to boxy. It is very thick, heavy, and uninspiring.
• The AI feels bolted on over integrated, however, the photo editing AI is World - Class. Simply amazing.
• After many iterations taking photos, given the upgraded hardware, the quality of the resulting images appear no better than my S23 Ultra. Depth and focus are dissappointing.
• The screen brightness is superb and the resolution equally impressive. This is my first iteration of the Ultra with a flat screen and I miss the Edge style immensely.
• One UI8 is a tremendous let-down -- eliminating so many features and capabilities of prior versions like window transparency, window pinning, and the original DEX.
It seems as though Samsung set out to check as many boxes as possible forgetting the artistic astetic they originally created generations ago.
