Very easy to use 'plug and play' design; no driver installation required. Works pretty well; using the same router, my internet speed tripled when I switched from WiFi to ethernet cable and this adapter.

USB to ethernet adapters are cheap. There are many brands. I've tried at least a dozen different brands. They all work fine until they don't work at all. HP adapters have never failed on me.

Once again, HP has the item that I needed...Verizon DSL is my Internet Provider, and being such, using an Ethernet Cable provides the best and most consistent download/upload speeds. (within the city where I live, there is only one internet cable provider who I do not prefer, and Dish/Satellite in this high rise apartment building is not an option.

This is a helpful -- and fast -- alternative to transferring data between computers via WLAN. If the other computer doesn't already have an Ethernet adapter, you'll need two of therm.
