Whisper radio

I bought radio for college. To have an old fashioned pastime. Now, if I listen closely, there is a good range for stations. But the volume at 10 is a mere whisper. I can not recommend this radio for that reason. Time to look for another.

Bought this radio for my wife and she loves it. She can take it outside with her and listen to it with the battery power.

CONFUSING AND INCORRECT INSTRUCTIONS ON BATTERY US

The weather radio is ok for a small light weight radio, but the instructions are incorrect and confusing. The instructions state that you can leave nickle rechargeable batteries in the radio and IMPLIES THAT YOU CAN recharge by leaving it plugged in. That is not correct, you need a rechargeable station. THIS WILL NOT RECHARGE BATTERIES. The instructions need to be corrected since they are very confusing to someone not trained in electronics. It should be stated that if one does not use rechargeable batteries, only use REGULAR D batteries and take them out if not using battery since chemicals leak out after batteries get old. When power is available use power, when not use batteries but remove when power comes back or radio may be damaged by leaky batteries.
