Wonderful fan/exhaust fan

This is the best compact fan to use for cooling and as an exhaust fan. It is very easy to install. You open your window put the unit in then extend the side wings. Once done lower the widow down just above the unit, plug into outlet and turn fan on. If you want to use it as an exhaust fan turn it to the side that says exhaust. Best thing I bought and it's by Black and Decker.

Well built, works well, smaller than expected

The product is well built. The two speeds are really medium and high (vs. low and high). The high setting is loud, but very effective. I wish there were a lower, quieter setting, but the medium is acceptable. My other complaint is that it says (right on the box) that it has a "Durable, 9 in. Blade." The blade is more like 6.5". Because the housing is 9" (as you'd expect on a 9" fan), the blade cannot be 9" and I should have realized this. Still, it could be larger than the 6.5" it is, say 7.5", and the larger area would move 25% more air. It doesn't quite replace the 12" fan I was hoping it would, but it does come close on high.
