Bought this to serve as an alarm clock for our child. They love it. Some reviewers complained the alarm clock would not play a CD. We tested that right out of the box and had no issue there. So far it’s perfect.

Totally Unreliable clock radio.

Followed directions exactly for over an hour trying to set just the time, alarms, & radio station. The input kept changing regardless of how many times I corrected it. This cannot be reliable as an alarm clock if you're depending on it waking you up. Am returning to J.C. Penney for refund (I hope)! Totally useless clock radio.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
