It appears that you can't shut off the alarm if you wake up before the alarm goes off. If this is possible, it is not clearly stated in the instructions. We had to put it in another room, beacause we can't use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just the right size!!

I bought a smaller CD player but I wear glasses and it was hard to "read" the buttons so I gave it away and bought this one and I LOVE IT!!! I can see it all without even squinting! I am so happy!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a very poor set up to program!!!
It is very difficult to know what you are doing even with the instructions. There is no button to just play cd to listen to it. What is with the mp3? I want to listen to music cd that I bought. It is difficult to set alarm and go back to check the time and mode that was set.

I love that the radio works

I bought this product a few weeks ago and I love it. One thing I would suggest is a blue light not red also the color could be a little less bright.

Nice black clock-radio with cd player from GPX, is what I was looking for this Christmas.
Smaller than an old boom box I once had and portable. It allows me to take it just about anywhere. It's a must have if you like music the way it was meant to be listen to.

I like that it’s compact. The sound quality is what I’d expect from a clock radio. I’m finding the alarm function impossible to set with the instructions included! It would be helpful to know how to tell if you’ve gotten radio vs buzzer vs CD right. I’m going to keep working on it, but wouldn’t recommend

I originally purchased two of these radios from a local retailer but took them back because I found them impossibly difficult to program. Still wanting a combination CD player/radio, though, I looked on the GPX website and found an updated version. I'm sorry to say, they're going back, too. The appearance has been updated, but programming is still impossible to figure out -- particularly with one small page of "instructions" that's less than helpful. In addition, there is only an FM radio in the unit -- no AM! Combining a CD player with an AM/FM clock radio is a great idea. Unfortunately, GPX hasn't been able to pull it off.
