I doubt this will last

I doubt this will last more than a year.
The positive is that the reverse osmosis process removes impurities including fluoride. The price was reasonable and this doesn't take up a lot of space on the counter. I also like having a glass carafe. (I wouldn't buy this if you have children because the carafe would be easy for a kid to break - this is best for a home with one or two adults. )
A concern I have is that I don't think it's possible to keep the water tank really clean because there are parts that can't be successfully disassembled.
As soon as water is purified I immediately empty the waste water from the tank and remove the plastic lid from the glass carafe to transfer the purified water to a different sturdy glass pitcher that I cover with a cloth. I clean everything that I am able to clean at least once a week.
This looks nice in the picture, but not on the counter because it has to be turned sideways for easy access to the water tank and the glass carafe. The instructions also say it shouldn't be in direct sunlight, which presents a challenge.
Obviously if the electricity goes off it won't work, but the less obvious point is that if the electricity goes off the counter that is monitoring when the filters need to be replaced loses count and you are now missing that information.
I think an under the sink reverse osmosis water purifier would have been a better choice.

I love my AquaTru. Only drawbacks are that visitors do not read the instructions. Maybe fewer words in bigger letters to keep them from putting the waste water back in, and pushing the reset button when they forget to put the pitcher in place. And it came missing one of the little rubber feet. Otherwise I am thrilled with it!!

This product isn’t what I expected. The pitcher barely 1/2 fills before I have to empty the water reservoir and refill it. It wastes so much water just to fill a pitcher.
