Overall im very happy with the carfe,
The only thing is that you have to remove and return the thank for filtering to work. It's physically hard for me to that, to hold the tank when it's filled with water. It would have been better for me if there was a possibility to fill up the tank with it left in place on the device.

I think the unit works as it’s supposed to but I expected it to have a better taste and clearer water than the water filter on my fridge. It seems I may not have needed this additional filter if I have the filter on my fridge. They appear to have the same effect.

Very nice, but unnecessary plastic

I generally really like this filter, except the flimsy plastic top of the glass water carafe sits in contact with the water when the carafe is more than about 2/3 full. I don't want my water stewing in plastic.

This is probably one of my favorite things I’ve ever purchased. Easy to put together, fills up pretty fast, and the peace of mind I get knowing I’m drinking good quality water is worth every penny. You can TASTE the difference instantly. And it saves me hundreds a year too in not having to buy bottled water. I highly recommend getting one!!

I love drinking water now before getting past the flavor was rough. I love knowing there no fluoride or extra chemicals we don’t need in our water supply. Since I’m a renter I was happy to find one that is portable. Also a bonus that it sits in a glass container !

I'm embarrassed to admit we had previously fallen for the Berkey hype and used one in our home for years. It wasn't until I saw a couple YouTube videos discussing how little Berkey actually tests their filters' lifespans, that I decided to get a TDS meter (total dissolved solids). Our water tested in the high 300s, to low 400s depending on the day. This was a mind-blowing realization, we were distraught. And this was testing water post "filtration. " Another YouTube video led us to AquaTru, that person also used a TDS meter and found that aside from ZeroWater, AquaTru brought that number of total dissolved solids down the lowest. (For the record, we also tried Zero Water, because gosh that sounds good, right? Zero mysterious dissolved solids in your water! Well, our tap water killed a ZeroWater filter in less than 48 hours - to maintain use of that system, we would have had to spend a lot of money on filters and add a lot of plastic to landfills. ) AquaTru is economical given the lifespan of the filters, less plastic in the landfills, and we test our water pretty regularly with our TDS meter and continue to be so grateful, so relieved, and so impressed that on average, our TDS is about 20-25 now. Much improved and something I feel so much safer giving my children given the news of microplastics, PFAS, lead, pharmaceuticals, etc. in the water supply. Highly recommend!
