Unfortunately I have not tested the water but do feel it’s pulling a lot of crud that’s in city water. My only hesitation is the water hopper isn’t the most convenient to place back in once you fill it. It doesn’t seat well without a wiggle, then the top lid closes. The water flow has also lessened after 2 months but filters are not signaling a replacement. All in all I’m happy with it because I feel the water quality is better.

Of all the water filter pitchers I researched, this one provides a higher quality of product. I love how it works, the countertop size and the glass carafe, yet wish the rest of the unit was something other than plastic. The water taste and purity is great. My reason for giving 4 stars is that it is not as quiet as I hoped when refilling, and the top lid of the machine does not close tightly.

The biggest downside for me

The biggest downside for me is how much water it wastes, and the filtration process is also quite slow. I honestly wish I had known this beforehand because I probably would have gone with an under-sink option instead.
That said, the taste of the water is excellent. I have no complaints about the water quality or taste.

It works, but the advertisement

It works, but the advertisement did not mention the tap water tank is used to collect contaminants, must empty every cycle (can’t add water to tank), is difficult to align, requires pressure to re-sit, and you cannot add water to an empty tank. It’s easier to empty the tank, replace it on the unit and add water with a pitcher, but it doesn’t work. I do not regret the purchase, yet. I’m hoping the seals on the tank will hold up for at least a year.
