up to 5gb/s?! who are you kidding?! clean new install win10 x64 with everything disabled and maximum speed: read 0.09gb/s / write 0.08gb/s your cable with adapter type-c tested on USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and Thunderbolt™ 4 (almost same speed) copy from Corsair MP700 PRO 2TB (that actually stands behind their speed that they promised)

I have 5 of the 5TB passports. They are running locally and remotely 24 hours a day working in a media server. 2 1/2 years now with zero problems.

I want my tech to work so smoothly and quickly that I forget it's there. That's this little external hard drive that could. Plugs right into my computer, lets me move files to it, doesn't glitch out, doesn't get fussy if I unplug it from my desktop and connect it to my laptop. So far, so great.
