very noisy hard drive for a spinning platter. my other survalancce and nas drives from seagate are a lot mor quiter. this is instaled in a Ubiquity Nas Instant for a friens and there are times you ccan hear it over a quite television. I hope it lasts
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
