[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a new Meritage Home in April 2012. The GE oven control panel went out in December. No parts available so GE replaced the entire oven. Now today, 3/23/13 the same thing happened again in the middle of cooking. We had to shut it off by the breaker in the garage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oven turns off

Spent money on an oven that constantly turns off. Replaced 2 different parts several times and it's not fixed. Very disappointed.

Oven turns off. I ignored the problem, just resetting the breaker, and did not attempt to fix prior to the one year warranty.

OVEN CUTS OFF

My oven is only a month old and when I try to preheat it, the oven constantly cuts off. It's near to impossible to use!

We bought this oven over 1 year ago to replace an fairly new one of another brand that did not hold up. The other brand took forever to preheat and burned everything when it did. The GE Profile is quick does not burn while it preheats and overall works great. Really like it. Got the matching microwave and like it also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only used this a few months but love the convection feature. Bakes up cookies and pizzas beautifully. Bright, easy visibility and easy to use controls. Love the child lock feature too as we have ours mounted below our counters.
Haven't used but look forward to trying the thermometer for cooking a turkey.

Clean, crisp and a contemporary look with easy to use features

I purchased this wall oven in mid-November, 2011 because my previous GE Profile wall oven died after 15 years of service. I was thrilled to find this wall oven in stainless steel to match exactly a GE Profile over-the-counter convection microwave oven (also in stainless steel) that I had installed two years earlier. I love the ease of the touch pad buttons for every function. I never forget to turn the oven off because I can tell when it is on by the moving fan icon (always lighted) when the oven is on. The hinged, pull out middle rack is a nice touch, making it easier to put in, take out, baste or test food when the oven is hot. Everything I have cooked to date has come out perfectly. I have also found that once the oven is turned off, the cooling fan is very quiet and nearly inaudible. I love the contemporary, fresh look of the oven and recommend it without reservation.
