Great choice for a kid you are just introducing Lego building to. let's them see what all can be done in various ways, before graduating to more skilled things

Clunker? Lemon?

We love the colors and variety of Legos in the case but are disappointed in the briefcase. The clasps come off every time we open the case or at the slightest touch. It doesn’t appear to be damaged. I wanted my 5 year old, who received this as a birthday gift, to be able to carry this and build wherever he wanted but it’s a pain to have to put these back on since he can’t yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased 2 of these sets for my hairdresser's 2 children - 4 and 5 years old. I have never met them, so I wanted to give them something most kids would enjoy; the fact that they had their own carrying case was a big plus; the first time they opened the packages, they played for hours, completely engaged in the creative activities. The gift was a huge hit that their parents also enjoyed sharing with them.

I have purchased several of Lego's carrying cases and was not very please. When this one came I liked it. Large enough for my granddaughters to use when traveling. It provides a nice assortment of color and pieces for the girls to play with. The girls have been playing with these for over a month and the only issue was with the "Red" clasps. they come off sometimes. my concern is that with more use they may become more fragile. My son still has the Lego Cases we bought him back in the 1990's. Those 1990"s cases are still very much intact and functioning fine today. I would recommend Lego re-manufacture those older Cases.
