Colorful and Eye-catching

While this set does display nicely, the build is extremely repetitive. Towards the end I found myself dreading building another layer. The minifigures were fun to put together, and the set is very customizable. However, I would only recommend this as a display piece, which is why I assume Lego labels this product as 18+.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was such a wonderful set and really brightened up my room! I thought that in terms of inclusivity, Lego could have done a bit better by possibly including people with physical handicaps and things like that. I do really like it though and love the message behind it!

Soothing and satisfying

I found this build very calming even meditative, thanks to its repetitive nature (noted by other reviewers). It's aesthetically pleasing with the vibrant colors and diversity of minifigures, each with their own unique personality thanks to imaginative hair-dos. The construction is extremely sturdy and solid. My only quibble (and it's a small one): no "bonus" extra pieces as I've become accustomed to in other sets! Even a few would have been nice... All in all, recommended; I suspect it would be fun to build with a friend.

Wonderful display Piece - Good for discussion

I am all about balance and inclusion. I feel this set, for what is covers is a perfect 1st step. Sure there are opportunities for more but the L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ dynamic is essential and this is what this is all about. I purchased 2 sets simply cause I wanted to create a new dynamic that was even more inclusive. I mixed all the people together to cover all aspects that we are all part of the soup of the earth and each person is awesome but also can be mixed up and still be awesome. I hope for more opportunities to see Lego offering the wonderful complexities and varieties of happy humans in their designs. Lego is full of complexity and variety us humans are too. Great set to start the process.

Could've been bagged differently

The set itself is easy to assemble and instructions are clear but it did throw me off to have to open all the bags at once and sort myself. If not going to have numbered bags it would've been nice to have them seperated by size or shape not just so randomly bagged.

It's a beautiful set, but...

I really enjoyed putting this together, even if it was a little repetitive. I know this product will bring in an entirely new audience to Lego, which is wonderful. It's a simple design, and doesn't require advanced techniques, and that's just fine.
I love the design of the minifigures, the overall aesthetic, and the concept.
BUT, Lego, you're definitely being a bit tone deaf by branding this as an 18+ set. I know this kind of fits with the AFOL sets, but come on! I know your intention isn't to state that the concepts depicted are for adults only, but that's what you're implying, especially to those new to Lego. This set should have the lowest age rating that is consistent with child safety/small parts. The build certainly doesn't justify the 18+ rating, so the average person is left to assume that the content does. Again, a bit tone deaf. This set is an exception to so much you do, and branding it 18+ seems like marketing run amok.
You get so much right about this set, but you could have done better here. There is so much positivity here that I can't justify rating it any lower than 5 stars, but please reconsider the age range?
