The best advent calendar yet

I absolutely loved this advent calender!! The mini builds were amazing. I've enjoyed the Harry Potter advent calendars from other years, but this one is the first one I've kept the builds and displayed them!
I would recommend this to a friend!

So disappointed

It pains me to write a one start review but this advent calendar lacks quality control like I have never seen before. I have two sets of doubles on mini figs I was really looking forward to and ended up with two I care little about. I am two weeks in on waiting for the first one and just noticed the second right now while setting it up for permanent display. Given the cost, even increase in prices, and continued disappointment, this has solidified that I will no longer be doing Lego advent calendars in the future.

Good Yearly Calendar

This calendar was a good calendar, but it was hard to tell what some of the builds were. For example, on day 13, I got the Room of Requirement, and the build was vague and hard to distinguish. Also, I think that the Triwizard Cup from day 11 could have been done better. Other than these few things, the figure selection is great, although the Harry figure is a bit overused. Some of the microbuilds were great inclusions, like the Whomping Willow from day 4, the mini Hogwarts Express from day 23, and the Weasly’s house, the Burrow, from day 20. The inclusion of the game built into the calendar is a nice thing, but takes away from of the festiveness we could have gotten in the builds, instead of there being just three things per movie, 2 items/scenes and 1 minifigure. Overall, this was a pleasant calendar, and I think Lego did a good job this year round.

Duplicate of 21 and missing 12

My son was hoping to receive Voldemort but instead receive duplicates of Hedwig and the dreidel. His disappointment was very apparent. Thanks Lego for that screw up. Do better

My dogs got to the box and chewed it up but everything is online, but overall great set.

I get these advent calendars every year and this one was very disappointing. I got duplicate days and am missing what was supposed to go where it duplicated.

The Harry Potter Advent Calendar has quickly become a holiday tradition for our family. However, the first build has already disappointed, in that the directions are way too general and we are missing key pieces. It’s as if Lego took a bunch of random bits from other Harry Potter builds and threw them in a tiny bag. We’re hopeful the next few days will be an improvement.

Fun builds and a neat game

I opened my first build (yes I waited until 1 December) and I found it challenging but fun to problem solve from the limited instructions. This comes with a bunch of great minifigs (moaning myrtle and Tonks are brand new ones I believe) and if you wanna just skip the calendar aspect the fun board-game they added to this year is worth the fun with family and friends. Be the cool auncle who brings a Lego game to holiday dinner!
