Hinges broke almost immediately

Makes great waffles but both hinges broke on second and third time using. Brand new and broke right away…very disappointed in the design as this doesn’t seem like an isolated issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was in the middle of making a batch of waffles for the first time with this waffle iron and it stopped heating up. Tried again a week later and it is not heating up at all even though the light is coming on when plugged in.

Not as well built as would expect from B&D. Each and every waffle separates on removing, and shouldn’t!

I’ve taken action by documenting your complaint, and I want to fully resolve this issue to your satisfaction. Your product has a two-year warranty. Even the first "dirty" waffle was beautiful! So easy to season. Waffles pop right off when done. I'm very happy with this waffle iron with one exception. The top, which is heavy, wants to close when pouring the batter in. Have to either hold the top with one hand and pour batter in with the other, or place it slightly down hill which works perfectly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wish it would heat up faster. Waffles are never done in the time advertised. Always have to let them cook for at least one minute longer.
