[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dash Mini Maker is a cute little waffle press that makes fun seasonal shapes. I like that the plates are dishwasher safe, and all the different shapes are fun, especially for my toddler.
That said, it really is more of a novelty product than good for daily use. It is very small, yet the waffles take a few minutes to cook, so by the time the second one is done, the first one is cold. Not great for cooking for a whole family, but ok if you're just making one for a child, although it's hard to make such a small amount of batter for a single waffle. The plates are easy to change out, but the different shapes are all only bottom plates, so one side will just be regular waffle shaped. I wish there was a flat plate, as that would be great for making pancakes or eggs for sandwiches and would give the machine more versatility. The machine also gets very hot and the handles to lift the lid don't provide a lot of area that stays cool. You have to completely cool it before switching plates, so it would be quite a process if you wanted to present all the different Christmas shapes together, for example. It is very compact, so at least it won't take up a ton of storage space if it only gets used for special occasions.

Fun and versatile

Love all my dash small appliances, so when I saw this one it was perfect. Multiple fun waffle shapes with only one base. I have since purchased a couple more fun plates for more patterns.
