I used the recipe from the website and it is good. The one down side is, it takes long to make many, many waffles. But the kids loves them.

Top plate does not snap in

It would be great if the top plate snapped in like it's supposed to. I got it for my daughter's birthday party, so that way the girls could make waffles just for the top plate to burn one of them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
