Great product, but be sure to use correctly. This is a superior cordless drill and good driver. But it must not be used as driver with the drill setting. The clutch needs torque relief that comes with the unit by adjusting the collar to a numeric setting that allows the unit to slip once the torque setting is reached. I [now] also have a PWR Core-20 driver that works same way, and frankly, is better for screw applications by having more torque. I wore out the clutch on my drill driver in a day while assembling a fence. Skil faithfully honored its product warranty and sent me a new drill driver. Very happy with this product, and even happier that Skil stands behind its products.

After 20+ years I finally caved and bought a battery powered drill. So far so good. I’ve used it numerous times on the RV and at home for drilling and screwing. It doesn’t give up and I need to constantly remind myself that it has enough torque to break my wrist!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drill kit is amazing. As a beginner it was easy for me to hold and use. Battery is extremely powerful, it can last for long hours. I am yet to charge after 2 months given my intermediate use. My recommendation will be to keep it on the low speed which gives you better torque and helps you control the speed better. You can drill in marble, metal, wood and any other hard surface. Rubber grip made it extremely easy to grab it and my girlfriend and I felt extremely safe using it.
