SAMSUNG DOES NOT COVER THIER REMOTE CONTROL!!!!

BEWARE!! DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG TV! I PURCHASED MINE 9 MONTHS AGO AND ALREADY THE REMOTE CONTROL IS ALREADY INOPPERABLE AND SAMSUNG SAYS THEY DO NOT COVER THEIR REMOTE! SO MUCH FOR ME EVER BUYING ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT

Hi WILLY,

I’m sorry to hear your SolarCell Remote is not working as expected. Please try these steps which may help resolve this:

1. Press and hold Return and Microphone buttons (diagonally up and to the right of Return). This will reset the remote.
2. Stand within 1 foot of the TV and press and hold Return and Play/Pause simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected

If you’re still experiencing issues with the remote, please also try the following:

- Unplug the TV for 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
- Try moving closer to the TV and re-pairing.
- Check to see if your remote is charged: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery
- Check for available firmware updates on your TV: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

Replaced a 55" Sony Bravia

Replaced a 55" Sony Bravia now hung in the porch.
This 65" is perfectly sized for our MBR. The colors are terrific and not over saturated. I've got it on the 4k setting and it's a lovely, uncomplicated picture with no stray pixels.
The sound is surprisingly good for a mid priced model that's not hooked into a soundbar with no separate bass booster. Full and rich sound dispersion.
BTW, I never give anything a "5",but this product is a 4.5

Despite the description saying it has Dolby atmos it most certainly does not nor does the soundbar that also advertised Dolby atmos.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review, and I'm sorry to hear of this misunderstanding. Please know Samsung's Q80D TV absolutely features built-in Dolby Atmos audio.

If a menu setting is grayed out, this does not indicate that something is wrong with your TV. It just means that a function or certain settings are not available based on the current source, settings, or connections. For example, some options may be grayed out if you are currently watching content from an app or external device. Long press the 'Return' key on your remote to exit the program you are in and go back to the menu - all settings should now be available.

Wish I had purchased a Sony - will next time

Interface is not good. Can’t get MLB games - app not available. Does not connect to internet well. Only device in my house that struggles. Samsung needs to figure this out. Not buying another Samsung until they do.

You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care

Great TV, Annoying problem

Th TV is great, but why on earth does Samsung not fix the issue of the TV auto-running apps. It will NOT stop automatically turning on my game consoles. I've tried everything and read every singel Reddit post, and it never works. There is a setting that says "Turn on/off Auto-run apps" and when you turn it off, it runs them anyways. Not sure why this issue has been around for so long and why it is so hard for Samsung to fix.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for your review. If you don’t want externally connected devices to turn on/off when you turn your TV on/off, please make sure Anynet+ is disabled. To turn off Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), go to: Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = OFF.

Don't waste your money

This TV is not user friendly and trying to navigate through all the options is overwhelming. We haven't used it in months because we get mad every time we do. Complete waste of money.
