Great picture but…

The picture is great. Bought a Q series sound bar as well. Not happy with having the TV stop when the. Able box is off and we’re watching a streaming service e because the TV detects the cable box is not powered on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have noticed that there are white blotches forming along the top of the screen. They appear to be getting worse. It is less than 1 year old. I think it is still under warranty, but can not get ahold of anyone for help.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing screen abnormalities on your new Q80D TV. Please run a Picture Test to determine if the problem is caused by the TV.

Picture Test displays a high-definition picture you can examine for flaws or faults. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test.

If this occurs on all sources and the picture test, this may require service. For help with setting up a service appointment, please contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

AWESOME PICTURE QUALITY, VIVID COLORS & CLARITY

This 75" (2025) is my 2nd QLED TV. It is in my living room and is part of my home theater. My first 55" QLED, Class Q70, (2019) is in my bedroom. They both have deep colors and an extremely clear picture. However, the Q80D is much better. Both were upgrades from UHD TVs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Little annoyances

It was nice to move up to a larger screen but I was a bit disappointed with the rich color that it promised, and that it didn’t have a 3.5 mm output for sound, and that it did get louder and softer by itself. I did fix the audio output for my wife’s headset but had to give up the soundbar that used the optical connection. I fixed the audio by resetting it and I suppose the depth of color will improve as I fiddle with it. I’m sure a newer soundbar with HDMI will work using the eARC. Never understood why new technology can’t accommodate older peripherals.
