I bought this to power my new HF ham radio transceiver. None of these transceivers come with their own power supplies, though some vendors or suppliers will bundle or recommend one. I have a simple rule, based on experience - consider Trippe first. I wasn't disappointed. This is a very quiet, cool running power supply that handles all of my needs, and has room for growth. Having said that, the price was reasonable - not a bargain, but considering the quality, it was quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend it. In fact, if I needed another power supply, I'd get another one of these.

I purchased one of these 25 plus years ago and it still works without fail. I have purchased several Tripp Lite products over the years and have been pleased with all of them. I cannot comment on their customer service because I have never needed to contact them with any issues or concerns.

The PR- 60 converter works very well. We use it to life test 12 volt pumps and we run it 1000 hours at a time. It holds up great. Be careful handling the converter it is heavy and if you tip it toward the plastic fuse holder, it will break. If you don't notice you have broke the fuse holder and you turn it on, you can damage the converter.
