The Best Quality

I travel extensively and rarely check in a bag. I am replacing an under-the-seat roller of approx 13 yrs that is now difficult to fit under the seat. Also, it is too wide to roll down the aisle of an airplane. To start, this suitcase does not fit under the seats of United Airlines nor American Airlines. But let me be clear, it is an awesome suitcase, worth 5 stars. I will still use it because it has the best wheels, easy to push/pull, upright or on 2-wheels, and will roll down the isles of any size airplane so that I don't have to pickup a heavy suitcase. It holds a lot, esp if you roll the clothes. I carry a 15" MacBook Pro, an eRead, Bose noise canceling earbuds, charging cords for electronics, an external hard drive, make-up bag, water bottle, a pair of pants, a couple shirts, undergarments, a pair of slippers, a thermal vest that can be rolled into a tiny bag. So essentially, I put all the heavy things in the roller. I carry the lighter stuff in another bag that I strap on top of the roller while treking thru airports and train terminals.

The "sweet-spot"

If you are tired of the swinging backpack over your shoulder, or questioning yourself on whether or not someone has stuffed lead weights into your bag...you have found the choice. Not too big, not too small, this the sweet-spot. Your shoulders and back will thank you per trip. You can play more for other company’s similar bag with the same lifetime warranty, but why, this tote is perfect in every way.

The perfect bag for a weekend trip!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is now my favorite suitcase for short trips. I love the fact that it's light yet durable. It's the perfect size for a weekend get away. It allows me to pack everything I need for a weekend without it being too large. In addition, the USB port is invaluable when you're at an airport and need to recharge your phone. Overall, I'm beyond satisfied with this bag. It is everything I could ask for and more.

Used this case to go to Chicago for 3 days. It made the travel to correct gate a breeze. I floated through the CTA and hotel. I had enough room for all clothes needed. I was amazed to see how many travel pro suitcases went by me as I walked through the airport. Left all the little compartment and pouches heading in this little suitcase. I loved the power cord compartment for my battery, and this suitcase looks sharp too!. It’s a mighty mini might.

The lightweight design means that you can pack a lot without the luggage becoming too heavy and it also makes it that much easier for storing in flight or carrying around. I bought the Vintage Gray with the leather trim and it looks great. It arrived in a heavy cardboard box completely wrapped in plastic, so not a scratch on it. This is a smaller piece of luggage that is meant for shorter trips (1-3 days IMHO) and is basically is a square to pack in, with the outside zipped compartment for other things like your laptop, travel docs, etc.
The bag materials are thick (read QUALITY, high denier ballistic nylon that will last forever), the sewing is on-point with no sticking problems, of course the magnetic wheels spin effortlessly and track straight when rolling (huge benefit over other bluggage). The Vintage Gray is well, vintage - i think the style is sharp, classy and something that will be easier to find than the standard black or navy blue of other luggage.
The handle is substantial and I found it to be sturdy and comfortable, with a contoured handle. The zippers are Supra and are strong and work well. And of course it comes with a USB port with a dedicated power pack compartment (you have to buy the battery separately), laptop compartment and 4 pockets and a key ring in the zippered compartment.
You will love or hate this one feature: Opening the tote.
The tote, standing up, opens with the cover coming forward towards you, so that it is open on an angle, but not completely. There is a snap and velcro that holds the top partially open. The idea is that you unsnap and pull the cover so that you can pack with it wide open. Then, when traveling, you can open it without the contents spilling out. I don't see a huge need for that myself, so I find that annoying. To fix that, I took a piece of velcro, cut it the length of the Tote's velcro on each side and affixed it so that it can no longer grab the piece it was designed to adhere to. My bag now only opens all the way (like when you pack it). Problem solved quickly and easily. This is NOT a reason to forego this purchase.
I pack with cubes and since there are no tie-downs in this smaller size luggage, that would help organization and keeping things where they should be until you take them out. For a small piece of luggage, it is a great size to bring what you need and no more for a short trip. Makes handling it a breeze and it will pass any carriers Carry-On restrictions.
I love this bag, and would have given it 5-stars (to love it even more) except for the following things (which are NOT deal-breakers):
1) there should be a zippered cover on the inside to keep contents in place and to separate a large compartment into an top/bottom space for better organization.
2) it should come with the clear quart toiletry bag that zips inside as in the other Travelpro bags.
3) the second compartment zippers come together and should also have lockable zippers - not sure how they compare to YKK, but these seem to be built for the long haul.

The pictures show the bag fully open, snapped so it opens partially, and a close up of where I cut a piece of velcro and attached it to the bag's velcro to stop it from adhering.
I highly recommend this bag. You may not need it, as I have a 20" spinner, but that is typically more space than I need on shorter trips, so this fits the need and is just the right size.
