It was unclear at order time what the cable lock was for - I thought it was to lock the PC to my desk but apparently it was to lock a laptop to my desk. I ordered a PC so the workflow should not have prompted me to buy this. And it is unclear from the detail that it is for a laptop. But it is not worth the time to return it.
