I got this surge protection for my main desktop computer. I know it is billed as a media center surge protector. This one has the amount of plugs I needed at a great price. Tripp Lite surge protectors have one important function that many competitors surge protector omit and that is if the protection has become degraded it will stop working. Others do not have this important function they will continue to provide power but no longer provide protection

Bought this to replace a Power strip that was damaged in a lightning strike. This Tripp Lite surge protector is higher rated but more affordable than the competitor products. I plan to keep using Tripp Lite for all my equipment.

Well this is one of those products that you hope you never have to use for its purpose. However I will say everything has been plugged into it (TV, router, Xbox One, surround sound, cable box, ethernet switch, and some other stuff) and it hasn't blown my circuits yet. Ports are nice and spaced. However, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 for two reasons: 1) the plugs are extremely difficult to push into. I really had to use force to get my adapters in. 2) since I haven't had to use it for its primary purpose yet (protection against a surge) I can't say it works perfectly. However if in the unfortunate circumstance I have to use it for this purpose I'll be sure to update this review.
