On the plus side it looks good on the counter and makes a good cup of coffee, ready when I get up. The fuel gauge works better than a sight glass which have always stained and become unreadable. I also like the cup filling lever and appreciate the light when filling a cup at o’dark thirty. The removable water reservoir is easy to read but I do have to hold onto it while filling as it’s a little unstable in our sink. On the other hand, when the lid is opened the condensate drains into the housing and pools around the heating element. Eventually it drains into the catch basin (under the fill space), but I end up using a paper towel to sop it up inside the housing every night. There is no bold setting, which would slow how fast it brews a pot. While the basket will hold 12 scoops of grounds, at normal brewing speeds it can’t drain fast enough and grounds overflow into the coffee reservoir and/or the housing body (with or without a paper filter). A bold setting would slow the brewing and let the basket drain better. We only make 11 cups now to keep that from happening, which is enough for the 2 of us. Overall we like the machine and I’m hopeful it will prove more reliable than the brand we replaced.

Love this coffee pot, we had one like it for several years and liked it. The new one has a problem with the cord that you plug in, is s only a few inches long doesn’t even reach the plug without a small extension cord on it! Supposed to be a safety issue but it is a big blunder in my opinion.

Great concept to have the coffee in the machine, but they don’t last more than a few years. But still, we bought a new one as no one else make a machine of this design.
