I have been using this well designed style since 2007. Simple to program and operate. Cleanup is a bit more complex because of the tank but it’s a fair trade off for not having to mess with a breakable glass carafe. I’ve also had issues with a misaligned carafe lid which leads to a big mess on the counter. Both water and coffee tanks are removable for cleaning and the fill area lights up when you are loading your cup with that motivational liquid we all know and love. It’s my hope that this model is available as long as I continue to drink the dark elixir.

My wife and I love this coffee maker because we hate KURIG CUPS! We use it every day and set it up for the next morning. It is wonderful to wake up to a hot pot of coffee to start our day. We prefer the dispensing system instead of a carafe because this is easier for us to use and we don't need to worry about dropping a glass carafe. Keep on making this coffeemaker!

Great idea but functionally needs improvement

Exactly what we were looking for in terms of a quality brand dispenser model. We wanted to replace our Hamilton Beach dispenser model which had stopped working and had a cheap looking finishing. At first we loved it, but now we are having a problem with the dispenser being stuck open (on) because coffee grains are stuck in there. We can only use it making 10 cups max and coarse grains. Not what we hoped for.

At least 15 years ago when our mother was unable to pour her coffee from a carafe, because of her arthritis, we discovered this wonderful Coffee on Demand!! ! It was a perfect answer for her , and I bought one for myself ! I’ll never use another style! And the coffee is perfect!!

A very good coffee maker. I also had the DC-3000, not sure why that one is so much more expensive than this one but they are basically the same. Setting the Autostart is a little glitchy, for some reason you have to switch the dial each day to clock and then switch it back to Auto, before pressing ON/OFF for the Autostart. Otherwise it just turns on and starts. The DC-3000 doesn't do that. When it's set on Auto and you press the ON/OFF button it sets for the next morniing. But once I knew that I just do it. It could just be me but the directions were a little confusing on that part.
